Summer Band concerts have been a tradition throughout much of New England for more than 100 years. The town of Barre has enjoyed many years of summer concerts with the Community Band.
The Band started as the Barre Wool Brass Band and has gone through a number of name changes trying to remain relevant with the times.
The current concert schedule runs for 10 weeks in the summer months. Concerts are played rain or shine and held in the Bandstand or Town Hall as weather dictates.
