| 1) Rehearsals
Where, and when, does the band practice? |
1) The band's season is during the summer months so rehearsals start the third Monday in April and end with the third Monday in August. Rehearsals run 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and are held at the Quabbin Regional High School in Barre, MA. (Note these are new times as of 2010) | |
| 2) Dues or Fees
What, if any, are the dues and/or fees to join the band? |
2) There are no dues, or fees, to play in the band. The Quabbin Community Band Board works to solicit paid concerts, local fundraising and income realized from the summer program book advertisements. | |
| 3) Age of Players
What age must you be before you can play in the band? |
3) The band consists of young musicians in Middle School through seasoned adults. A student needs to be able to understand basic musicianship skills but will find the QCB an excellent opportunity to grow those valuable skills in musicianship such as: sight reading, blending with an ensemble, intonation and much, much more. | |
